Definitely not a mountain bike loop, waste of time. More suitable for walking

LOVED it! Took a while to get to Settle (from York) due to small, congested roads but well worth it. There is so much packed into this walk... views for days, TWO very impressive waterfalls, 3 giant caves etc. Was the gorgeous. Only thing I would say is for the last 2K (if you've done the trail clockwise) back from the last waterfall back down to Settle itself, is confusing and not really marked. You're better off just sticking to the road otherwise you'll end up trespassing through farmland like we accidentally did. You'll need boots even if dry as some tracks are lumpy with hidden stones. All in all, go for it - you'll probably love it!

Nice walk through a pretty forest, part of the track was quite muddy and a bit overgrown in places. Eagled eyed people will pick up on the wildlife

lovely walk, in hindsight we followed the trail backwards but that doesn't really matter. We lost the path near the lake but found our way climbing where the felled trees were (is the path no longer there?) Download before you arrive as it's hard to get data in the area but as long as you follow a circular path you shouldn't get lost.

Not the easiest route to follow and the last mile or so is on the main road with no footpath.

Really nice walk, some more difficult parts but mainly all on a nice gravel path.

This is a grueling hike - a real test but spectacular. Look for the waterfall to the right of the path on cote Moor. I stretched the walk out by heading for the tarn.

Great scenic walk. Very good paths. Plenty of trails for a variety of distances. Good accessible parking. I would rate this walk as moderate. Do not rely on your phone for gps as signal dies a quarter of the way into the trek.

Good route, well signed. Few boggy fields in Rosedale, the decent down to Rosedale was very slippy / boggy so would advise using the road. (or just go in summer)

Most of the paths are well defined but there are several other paths that cross so it can be easy to take a wrong turn, the walking app is needed for a general direction. Also there is a stretch of road to walk where the traffic can be busy .

lovely location, up until I reached the pond about 1/2 the way round I only saw 1 person! much busier after that, there's another entrance with more parking space where the walk emerges onto the road. easy terrain and some lovely views, definitely recommend!

Was a really good trail, some fast road type tracks, got lost at one point as not fully signposted, but managed to find our way via roads and the use of the app. Would defiantly recommend for a pleasant day out!
