Really enjoyed this route, running next to a golf course through fields of cows and lots of gate jumping. Definitely felt the burn on some the hills. Be nice to go back and do it when the pubs are open

Loved this walk, the views were beautiful (we were lucky with the weather). The walk through the village is nothing to worry about (as per other reviews) and everything is clearly signposted.

nice short walk through the woods, ideal for an evening

Beautiful views and a lovely walk but definitely prepare for the rather steep incline about 2/3rds of the way round.

Good little circular Easy to follow Go under the bridge and make a right to find the steps up if you don’t know the area Would recommend and will do again - probably ‘in reverse’ to finish coming down the river which was the nicer part

Really beautiful woodland for much of the route, dogs can be off lead a lot of it.

Good walk took about 90 minutes at a steady pace

Beautiful relaxing long walk, our dog could be off lead most of the way. A field with cows but they were fine with walkers and dog keeping their distance.

This is a great trail if you’re looking for a fairly short walk with plenty of ‘off-lead’ time for the dog and a great pub at the end. Well-defined paths that skirt the river Ouse for a good portion at the start ensure this is a really nice easy walk with fantastic views of not just the river but the surrounding countryside. Just be prepared for boat envy!

nice flat walk on the banks of the river ouse

Enjoyed this walk. Would describe as easy not moderate. Also completed in 1h and 20. But overall really nice, and good views by the river

Nice walk along the river at the beginning, and across the viaduct at the end. A walk through a housing estate in the middle which was less pretty.

Nice, easy walk that circulates Masham, following the Burn River and River Ure until entering the Masham Nature Reserve at Marfield Quarry.

Nice steady walk. Slight incline in some fields. Would be suitable for a child to ride a bike and a good walk for dog walkers

Really simple flat walk with my 66 year old dad. Beautiful views and highly recommended.

Really nice trail and great views. We went on a really windy day and there was quite a lot of flooding around (not dangerous to us though) but it didn’t stop us. Beautiful views and the temple at the end of the walk was great. Highly recommended.

Lovely, scenic loop located on the outskirts of Malton.

Lovely easy walk to do with the children. Though very busy for a Sunday (probably because the sun was out) and probably not the best place to go for social distancing! Easy flat terrain with plenty of places to stop and rest.

Great trail but had to deviate as flooded. Fab views and great with a dog as mostly off leash (which our mut loved)

lovely walk, brilliant for dogs as it's basically all off lead. The road sections are private access only so they are really quiet as well

Perfect for dogs; 99% of the walk they can be off the lead and loads of space to run around/ play in the river. I did after heavy rainfall and surprisingly dry - a lot of tarmac track and the stretch along the river is on a raised bank. Bet it’s glorious in Summer, and two pubs at the start/finish.
