Another great walk. With smashing views of the North Yorkshire coast line.

A alternative starting point, park your vehicle on the Cinder track on bottoms lane Hawsker. You can then walk down onto the cliff tops joining the Cleveland way walk. Walking south will take you onto Robin Hood’s bay. There’s some great views of the English coast line and nothing better on a warm sunny day. . I recommend the walk be done on a dry day. There are sections which become muddy. There’s many places in Robin Hood’s bay to eat. The Victoria hotel makes a smashing Sunday lunch. Beware of the canon at 12.00 noon. With a full stomach you can return along the cinder track towards Whitby. Occasionally you may see deer & other wildlife Enjoy your walk. I hope I may return once more.

Another great walk lovely views across robin hoods bay across to ravenscar coastal paths on cliff tops quite dry at moment instructions easy to follow again regards bailes

This route is the ultimate challenge! completed it twice each completely different as you can experience all four seasons on the Moors.

Wow. 40 miles in 17 hours. An experience like nothing ever!

The ravines have steep steps, so care is needed. Some steps are uneven stone, others are soil retained by wooden boards which may be a little loose. I would recommend a walking pole. Stunning views over the sea, with wave-cut platforms visible at low tide. There is access to beaches, but these may be overgrown with thistles and nettles in the summer. The Station Cafe at Cloughton is only open Saturday to Wednesday, even during summer school holiday, but is lovely if you can visit.
