We really enjoyed this walk. Several places at the beginning /end to get a drink or something to eat and lots of beautiful views. It took two slightly unfit ladies around 2 hours to complete the walk but it was a very hot day and I’m sure we would have been quicker had it been cooler. Blackberries already beginning to ripen in the wooded areas of the walk and along the hedgerows. I also saw some damsons at the last style before the car park. You don’t need your hiking boots for this trail , at least not on a dry, sunny day like today. I’ll likely return in autumn to see the leaves changing colour and for a spot of foraging. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

slight detour near on the canal, but a lovely walk, fairly easy going and quiet route.

Nice round walk suitable for dogs. Dog friendly pub at the end call the Chequers too.

We agree with everyone else’s comments about this walk. It’s not demanding, and some good views. The walk description is splendid and cannot be faulted

Good dog friendly walk with great views.

Great walk on a sunny day. Good views, great circuit and a bonus of two great pubs on the route. Recommend an ice cream from the village shop to start you off.

Thoroughly enjoyed this walk & very well documented with easy to follow instructions.

Enjoy this flat walk. Different types of path keep it interesting. Towpath, lane, footpaths across fields. Not too taxing easy to follow. A very nice walk.

Excellent dog-friendly (some livestock in parts) walk, well described and through delightful scenery. And a splendid, dog-friendly pub (The Chequers) at the end. Perfect!

Nice little hike, though towpath was closed for the first section so we used the parallel disused railway path instead.

Walked this with my gorgeous daughter today. A lovely pub lunch at The Chequers then the walk which was beautiful (and flat!). Highly recommended.

A lovely walk, particularly at sunset. The hill climb is incredibly steep and a real challenge, even for a fit/able-bodied person, but otherwise a fantastic outing. Lots of livestock, stiles and electric fences mean caution should be used with dogs.
