Too many people to go at your own pace (fast or slow). Lots of litter. Waterfalls very pretty. Sort of resent paying £6 a head to look at somewhere in my back garden.

Family friendly! Nice to spend the day!

Lovely hike, doesn't take too long to complete. This is the first of the Yorkshire three peaks for me. I hope to do the others soon! We had a lovely clear day and could even see the Lake District from the top! Very steep decent though, would be tricky when wet.

A very good walk some really nice views...i really recomend this walk.

Fri Aug 31 2018

Done as part of the 3 peaks challenge a deceiving accent across the fields and up the steps much harder than it looks. The zig zag steps up the face is by far the hardest part but feel great great once completed.

Fri Aug 31 2018

Very nice and easy walk. could even be a nice easy run.

Love this walk, have done it numerous times in Autumn/Winter and mainly in the rain. Can be slippy and there are a few muddy areas at the start. Spectacular views. Ice cream van part the way round sells hot/cold drinks.

absolutely amazing walk.. fantastic waterfalls.

Wed Aug 01 2018

Great trail and quite flat except in 2-3 places. not sure of it was because of the time of the year, but we had to go through an area of grassland full of sheep and sheep poo!

Beautiful walk, great for kids but children under 3 may struggle as you won't be able to take a pram through the trail and it's a long walk.

Beautiful family loop, which has everything you need from a moderately gentle mountain bike trail. My 7 year old son struggled a bit on climbs but loved the downhill rollercoaster sections. Highly recommended!

Love this route. Can be very muddy in winter so wear proper footwear. Easy in summer - I did in sandals. Some ups and downs but still an easy walk. Enjoy!

Beautiful trail full of water wonders, woodland and a fantastic ice cream van at the peak. A lovely little trail every time

Sun May 20 2018

Amazing walk and beautiful waterfall

Sat May 12 2018

Short circuit through a nice little park , nice one to do with the kids

Sat May 12 2018

Beautiful walk through a stunning part of the ribble valley , this walk has a little of everything and well worth making the effort to do it

Sat May 12 2018

A great walk but definitely not one for those not looking to test themselves a little as the steps that take you to the top of pendle are more than a little steep!! Definitely worth the effort when you get to the top as the views are amazing with a nice walk back down past the reservoir back into Barley

Top place

Sat May 05 2018

Lovely walk, easy to navigate, great on a fine day

Sun Apr 22 2018

A nice walk through some beautiful woodland but would say it’s more for the mountain bikers , only saw one other dog walker but hundreds of mountain bikers in the whole of our two hour walk.

Amazing walk. Beautiful surrondings. :)

Fri Dec 29 2017

A beautiful place to explore, numerous waterfalls, big and small. Access to the river at several points so kids and dogs can have a paddle. There is a kiosk near the main waterfall, Thornton Force, and the area gets extremely busy on hot sunny days. very popular walk, highly recommended. Look out for the money trees!

Thu Sep 07 2017

A lovely walk with some slopes and steps, but all lovely scenery. You have to pay to walk it as it's private property (£15 for a family ticket), but parking is included.

Tue Feb 21 2017

If your looking for a short hike, this is definitely worth doing. (I did it in 3hrs 10 mins) Unfortunately I picked an afternoon when the mist was down, so didn't see much of the view. An easy trail to follow, with a reasonably good footpath

A good circular route with excellent views of the Ribblehead viaduct. The path is extremely well marked and heavily trafficked. The descent is steep and you need to take a hard right turn, after the descent to take the Bridleway back towards the viaduct. The wind was extremely strong on our walk with very little shelter along the ridge. The route can get very busy on weekends as it is part of the 3-peaks challenge.
