Very steep incline. Amazing animal sights. Take snacks and water.

Pretty nice trail. A bit boring through the fields on the first portion, but once you climb up the steep woodlands it’s quite lovely, with lots of singing birds and some wildflowers, plus you’ll see a few horses. Easy enough and you start/finish at a pub, so there’s that.

Awesome trail with amazing views from the cliffs and lots of wide-open pastures. Good hiking shoes recommended. Bring sunscreen as there is little coverage, and food as there are no concessions along the route.

Nice easy trail with well marked paths and only one area of incline. Lots of sweeping country views. Only one area with some mud; boots or walking shoes recommended.

The walk was lovely, going through some villages, fields and finishing off on the cliffs. At one point you have to go on the road as you walk into a horse stable training school and there was no visible route to go through. It wasn't that well marked, so had to use the app to make sure I was staying on the route. Apart from that beautiful walk with great views.

Fantastic walk. We were lucky with the weather: +11, dry, overcast. It could have been mudy, but it did not rain for 10 days. My favourite parts are forest and hedges with new spring flowers, and of course, the icing on the cake - Long Barrow Codrum Stones! The trail is very pleasant, well sized and well marked. Highly recommend.

Nice route, particularly along the river.

Two beautiful, high viewpoints. The map is a bit wrong in one place. Quite hilly. But overall a strangely lifeless walk with a lot of road noise and only heard one bird! Still nice to be outside though.

Fabulous walk - one of my favourite in the area. Dry under foot all year.

Pretty easy trail but quite muddy cos of the rains this winter. Cute pub in Ide Hill to end the trail.

A lovely varied walk: elevation at the start for great views, wooded and open fields in approximately equal measure and great historic interest.

Really lovely walk. Perfect with kids. Only thing we did not enjoy so much was the beginning/end (have to cross a high-way via a tunnel, and have to partially walk along the highway -- only 50m, but with winds it's dusty). So, maybe start the walk after that crossing.

This trail was extremely disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. It was a very hard trail to follow. I followed my route by GPS and much of the path follows across open fields with many styles at the beginning and end of each field system. On the positive side there are some magnificent views and the best part of the walk is along the road at Pilgrims Way near the end of the trail that follows the escarpment, apart from that I wouldn’t bother, especially when there are so many other wonderful trails

Difficult walk but very satisfying with a lot of variety! We were surprised that this wasn’t labelled as a difficult walk but it was very muddy so maybe that made it harder than normal. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful woodland, especially in the spring when the bluebells are out. Extremely muddy though so take a change of shoes!

A great, muddy walk. We loved seeing the wildlife, in particular the giraffes!
