First time using AllTrails since it bought out my old app and I was sceptical but am pleased, as a lone Walker, that it was easy to use. Anyway the walk was just lovely. As recommended I went clockwise and found a few signposts when I felt I was wavering .... mixed terrain from open field, village, woodland to a tiny, tiny bit of road..... the views are outstanding and there are plenty of stops to be had .... it was a very windy and damp day so I will go back on a nicer day to make the most of the views

great walk through beautiful woodlands and generally a nice combination of forest, great views, historic buildings and open pastures. unfortunately the route description, especially for the beginning of the route is not great. follow the route via GPS to make sure you don't get lost

Loved it! So much to see and the written description here and also a few information signs on the walk gave us lots of insight into the history of the area. We had a lovely afternoon doing this walk and would highly recommend it!

Soggy day. Tough walk for our first venture out. But the scenery is fantastic and good clear trail

A shorter walk than the main Slindon circle. Great for young children and those looking for a pleasant walk.

Nice walk around chatsworth grounds and some nice woodland walking to get to the moorland.

There’s two walks here, the shorter of the two follows the left bank of the river underneath the viaduct and is a mixture of fields and lanes with several kissing gates which I was happy to lift our pushchair over! Eventually you hit Low Catton which you can either head into or bear left to follow a quiet road walk back into Stamford Bridge. I believe if you continue into Low Catton you can eventually cross the river and head back on the right bank into Stamford Bridge, but that’s another story and another review

Really great trail, highly recommend

lovely easy start along canal side, nice and gradual to the hill and then quite steep to the top but good distant views, picnic and then steep descent. Good level walk returning to car park.

A nice 5km loop and an easy pathway to follow.

Great trail and even better views of Hadrians Wall, Sycamore Gap and the old fort. One thing we will say: we are avid hikers and this trail does have steep sections, plus it’s quite long. For this reason, would grade at moderate rather than easy. A great hike to do while in the Hexham region.

Brilliant hike if you are training for a big walk. gets the leg muscles toned and the heart beat racing. is literally up and down all the way. makes you feel alive and knackered all the same. View at the end is breathtaking.

This is an update of the current situation of a walk around the walls. walls leading to Eastgate Bridge, Northgate Bridge and Southgate Bridge are both under construction at present (updated 5/6/20 - see images), hence my diversion. A lovely walk around the 2 mile circuit around part of the walls of Chester with lots to see and do. Please note: There are only small sections of the walls that do have ramps for people with disability.

lovely walk, amazing scenery and it was not hindered by the rain either (although a little slippy in places). only problem we had with the route today was that they have a one way system in place for covid, this would be ok but it's not marked out early enough and it means you cant follow this route exactly, we had to double back on ourselves and it added quite a bit onto our journey, they should have a big sign at the beginning or something.

Lovely walk. Fantastic views from the top and on the way down. Anti clockwise probably easier than clockwise. No cows. Just sheep.

I would highly recommend this trail, so many smaller routes available within this area. Cows , butterflies , bees , birds , swans , caterpillars , ducks , horses to accompany you.

Very good trail with great views of Hadrians Wall and Sycamore gap.

Lovely trail but I wouldn’t classify as an easy route. There’s some steep inclines.

This trail was brilliant, it has a few challenges here and there, the views are beautiful. There are lots of stops and places to enjoy the scenes and bays. The paths are really clear and easy to follow. The app worked wonderfully and made the experience easier. Total time taken to walk was 2hrs 30mins, worked out 13km.
