Photos of East Riding of Yorkshire Nature Trips Trails

Starting from the very popular lay-bys near Raywell Hall, the first section of this route is very muddy going in early feb so it is worth going up into the tree line and taking a higher parallel track for the first half mile or so. Pretty level until mile 5 to 6 down to the quarry offices and the road stretch which is uphill and not the most pleasant part of the route. I turned up Stonepit Rd instead of continuing on the road to Tom Potts Row just to cut the road out . Just after the end of mile 6 you retrace your first 2.4 miles which is ok if you're pushing your pace as you know what's ahead. Overall time - 2hrs 50, walking time 2 hrs 33. Enjoyable but boots need a good clean !
