Hard going, but worth it in the end

Disappointing. Easy enough to follow despite the fact that the directions for the last part of the walk appear to be missing. Main issue was that the majority of the walk was on roads and despite the reassuring comments in the guide, in places the traffic was fast and heavier than expected. The path through the woods was very attractive but the walk needs much more like this and fewer roads.

My first mountain. A sharp incline early on and a long downhill section. I did this in preparation for the three peaks trail in June and it’s certainly given me a good idea of how difficult it will be. Great views!

Great walk. Difficult in parts especially climbing the steps. Very rewarding with outstanding views

Nice walk however going through Ramsey Woods downhill we came to a few T junctions saying turn left. We did not see a stoney track in the woods. We went off course when we reached the main access track road and crossed over as per the instructions, but realised by sat nav we had gone wrong. Therefore we retracted to join the main access road again and luckily this took us the right route of the walk. As a tip I think it would be useful to have the Numbering against each paragraph to link to the map as some of the instructions repeat T junction turn left. This would link the instructions to the numbers on the map and make it easier. A nice walk and enjoyable.

an enjoyable track, done on a hot day

fabulous route, lovely views, secluded feel away from roads, cars, noise, etc.

A very good walk some really nice views...i really recomend this walk.

Done as part of the 3 peaks challenge a deceiving accent across the fields and up the steps much harder than it looks. The zig zag steps up the face is by far the hardest part but feel great great once completed.

Very nice varied walk, ending with tour of hall gardens and sports facilities. Archery tournament was underway when we were there. Pete and Alicia, August 13th 2017
