Stunning walk! Bit of everything: forests, fields and river. Very long though

Brilliant little walk after a great Sunday Lunch at The Moor Land Hotel. The quarry still has bits of old machinery from when they mined the stone in the Georgian era. Very cool

Gentle trail with great changing landscapes from ancient woods, riverside walk and through a forest at the end. After rain there are areas that are boggy and very wet! Would recommend waterproof shoes! Loved it!

très belle randonnée avec des paysages variés, je conseille mais avec des chaussures imperméables car nous avons croisé de nombreux marécages.

Stunning views and lovely river!.. Can't forget the pub as well

I did enjoy this walk, because I love long rambly walks with my dog. However as a trail it’s not good- had to pass through 3 streams with no bridge (one instance I had to take my boots and socks off as was too high) and had to climb over many gates which was fine for me and my young agile dog but wouldn’t recommend for people who have limited mobility/kids etc. Couldn’t cross fields where I was meant to die to fencing so ended up walking an extra 3km to get around those too. Also there was no parking at the start just a lay-by that would fit max one car. Again fine for me but not sure where else you’d park if there was someone in the lay-by

Start this walk 30 minutes before sunrise and get to the beach for then. You hear the birds waking up as you walk down the valley and arrive at goodrington in time to greet the day!

Path up to the tor that we used was very steep but lovely views!

Beautiful scenery. A tough climb in places especially with the wind against you. Very muddy in places but just about passable. Refreshments in the Thatch Barn - dog-friendly and great food. Lovely walk.

Lovely little stroll through woods with glimpses of spectacular coastal scenery

Long and strenuous but spectacular scenery, especially on a clear winter day. Excellent pubs in Clovelly for a break after about 4 miles, otherwise a wild path. Receives little sun in the Winter due to its northerly facing aspect so wrap up warm!

Beautiful According to the recorder on my gps - the distance is closer to 13 miles

Not sure why this is rated hard. It is a great walk with some fantastic moorland views, especially on a cloudless January day, but because the track follows the contours all the way, there are hardly any hills. It also means you walk past a lot of tors rather than up them meaning you miss out on that “take your breath away” view you would get from the top. I changed the route a bit at the end to get the stunning vista from the top of Sheepstor, and it was certainly worth it!!

Stick to the black dotted lines unless in wellies. It's quite boggy in areas. Plus crossing the water you have to find a solid piece of metal just a but further up
