Lovely walk. No bins for dog poos!

I love mountain biking this lovely quiet and peaceful trail.. plenty to see and lots of variety with different terrains and gradients.

A nice family walk on the disused rail line. Would have been nicer if more of it was adjacent to the river.

great trail, open and varied terrain and a brilliant mix of scenery and gnarly climbs/chutes - bring extra bananas

The area is beautiful and I'm not reviewing that here, the low star rating is because much of the trail shown on the map is no access, private property, overgrown and impossible to traverse. And trust me I hike off trail all the time and have full survival and backpacking gear. Much of the red trail line leads to complete dead ends and several times I ended up getting lost off trail and walking mile after mile after mile to get back to edale. Also even though I have the map downloaded for offline use, the map kept whiting out leaving me with no way of knowing where I am without taking a manual compass bearing. Not happy at all and hope next time is better or I will be in installing the app.

So, the first 90% was quite enjoyable. Only problem was when the route went off trail, the path then became impossible to follow with walking through thick shrubs, muddy ditches, and thorny obstacles. The trail then proceeded to follow a stream with no clear path for a safe descent. In the end we had no choice but to cut across and rejoin the designated path after crossing more shrubbery. Stressful.

Very easy, to crowded, a lot of small kids so you need to be very careful- ok for Sunday relaxing cycling- u don’t have to have a MTB bike - flat trail.

This was a good walk but not really much to see and you can’t get anywhere near the water but the dogs loved it

I just walked this trail today for the first time; bit of a cold going on so I didn’t want to do anything too strenuous and this was just perfect! The trail itself is lovely, really pretty and well kept, loads of little bits to just sit and chill out for a bit and plenty of farm animals and wildlife which is always a joy to see. I just done it in my own but it was a very mixed crowd; other solo venturers, couples and groups. Popular with cyclists too. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be doing it again at some point ☺️

Fairly tough on way out I’m 65 and dragging a dog cart with dog in it but my wife and me did it . Really enjoyed ride back . Bit disappointed seeing signs up warning cyclists to respect walkers but didn’t see one for them respecting us ! All in all really enjoyed it .

Waste of time. Totally nothing interesting to discover. Some parts of the footpath are in poor condition. Nobody takes care about it. It's private property anyway. So be warned

Completed this walk on May Bank Holiday Monday. Really lovely walk that took us about 3 hours to complete starting from the main visitor centred taking the north way round. In combination with a bicycle ride, at certain points there splits between walkers and cyclist, great idea. Pathway all the way round and well signposted. Only spotted 1 tea stop by a main car park. Worth’s doing for a lead than strenuous walk.
