Nice walk. Very muddy on the day I went. Some nice views too, in summer this would be a gorgeous walk

Went off trail due to lots of cows and horses but a nice trail around Buxton

Didn’t do full work. Managed a cow field Walked through a lot of cow shit And got soaked We enjoyed it

Lovely hike the view on top was incredible. Definitely worth the climb. not too hard apart from the bit ascending the mam tor . I started in Castleton but took the route back to hope. Clear marked course to follow.

Great walk..we started from Castleton and went up the hill from blue john cavern side. great route and loved the walk along the ridge. Found it a bit difficult due to the wind being against us most of the way but otherwise there are only a couple of challenging climbs that only last 5-10mins so achievable with some level of fitness. nice little pubs at the end for a drink after

Perfect for a nice stroll. Can be busy

Took the dog here and it was lovely, very suitable for her. lots of variation too, nice streams, wood, moors, big uphill, amazing view of Manchester.

Really enjoyed this walk but was very hard! Didn’t help it was one of the hottest days of 2019!!! The live map is fab and helped us stay on track. First part of the walk was quite easy but the second part going up the never ending hill from the village was tough! Having said all this I’m not the fittest of people! The views are just breath taking! Will definitely do this again once I’ve improved my fitness even more!

Difficult. Took a shorter and more direct route

Good walk. Tricky in places. At that start you have to get over the stream you have to climb some rocks. After that is good walk.. I went on August Bank Holiday weekend with gorgeous weather see some nice views a bit further on. And the abandoned mine. On way back there is a steep rocky hill to get down and is very slippy and very rocky and tricky.. Walk was enjoyable

Great walk, hard but not as difficult as some reviews, the map which is very good and certainly needed as the walk description is not the best.

Really nice spot with 360 degree views, would definitely recommend

Quite a tough walk as there are two inclines. I would definitely recommend though, as we had a brilliant time. I would make sure you have good walking footwear and a wet weather gear. Especially if it is due to rain as there are not many areas of cover.

Really good walk, off the beaten track. However, once you’ve done the dragons back it takes you onto private property, we took the road around instead

What an amazing circular walk which in many places can be very challenging, starting out from Castleton and heading on a steady incline to the mamtor peak with breathtaking views to see on a clear day. This walk can take up to six hours there is three refreshment places but I recommend to take plenty of water wear a good pair of boots.
