large sections of this route were not passable due to deep water, lots of mud and cows. I suspect this is a nice walk in summer when the paths dry out.

Great 9.7 mile hike though a variety of landscapes. Hills, ridges, woodland, farms, country villages and great views. Some elevation nothing too strenuous for an average Walker. Start near the candle workshop that has a cafe or you could do lunch at the Pheasant inn (gastropub). In places this follows the Sandstone trail. Note a small section is along a B road which no pavement and is quite busy car wise as it's a short cut between two main roads. Thoroughly enjoyed on a bright September day. You will meet other walkers but not too heavily trafficked in Autumn.

Lovely evening walk with great views.

A lovely walk, quiet and peaceful when walking through the pastures. Was muddy but that’s not surprising with the weather we’ve been having. Will definitely recommend this one.

I did enjoy this trail, it’s just very muddy with the weather and abit overgrown Only took 1 hour Would do it again

nice steady walk apart from the witches steps, which definitely get the heart pumping

Really lovely walk especially with children and dogs. Only downside is long road no footpath along it and along the side of road is to overgrown to walk on.

Perfect for a lovely scenic stroll, throughout the Cheshire countryside, really enjoyed this walk.

I would recommend this trail! Lots of wildlife (including deer)! Wouldn’t recommend the route we took! I like to think of getting lost as an adventure haha! Lovely little cafe and free parking - the only reason I can’t give it a 5 star rating is because the route signs are old now and need updating. VERY easy to take a wrong turn, taking you miles off in the wrong direction (although everywhere you turn is lovely!)

Payed £3.50 for the car park at Beeston Castle. This walk took around 2 hours with some short stops. The paths were dry and the only strenuous part was the short climb up the witches steps. As most of the walk is in the woods, the views were lacking but there were far-reaching views from the fields below. A very enjoyable walk.

We had a most enjoyable walk which wasn't too strenuous, although the witches staircase was a bit of a challenge! Lovely views of both castles at various points during the walk. We'll definitely be doing this walk again!

Great little walk with plenty of opportunity to add another couple of miles if you wanted.
