Nice walk but note that the Blackbird is now a fine dining restaurant not a country inn! Friendly and fine for a drink but very few bar snacks. Food looked good if you want a full meal but quite pricey and you'd need to book.

Really pleasant loop that takes in a bit of everything. A nice pleasant walk along the canal. Then through some farmland and into the woodlands as you climb the 195m to the top of the hill. At the top is a nice walk along Greenham common where you can take in some great 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside. Then back into the forest and down the hill back to the canal. Not too difficult and a very nice 2hr walk.

Great, easy to follow directions and lovely, easy walk (especially on a crisp Autumn day) where dogs can be off the lead for most of it. The pub is dog friendly but we found it very overpriced for the standard of Sunday roast (which was very average) so probably wouldn’t eat there again, but good for a pint!

Fantastic walk with incredible views. Even stopped for blackberry picking en-route. The dogs loved it. Would thoroughly recommend.

Nice walk but instructions across Snelsmore common need to be looked at. Got horribly lost (even though we re-read them 6 times) and had to retrace our steps to get back. Disappointing.

Great walk and very varied. The pub now has about 20 signs on all fence posts outside saying for patrons only, so as we were not intending to eat there, we decided to start at Snelsmore Common car park(free) and do the walk from waymark 3 and back to there. It worked just as well and Donnington Castle is a good picnic spot.

We really enjoyed this walk, although no mud or water for my boys!! We stopped half way at the vine in Hannington and had lunch before setting off again

This is a lovely walk with lots of variety and chances to stop along the way at interesting places such as the castle and nice viewpoints. The pub is friendly and does a good Sunday roast!!
