A nice walk through beautiful woodland but you constantly hear the road traffic and part of the walk is adjacent to a very busy road.

Really pleasant loop that takes in a bit of everything. A nice pleasant walk along the canal. Then through some farmland and into the woodlands as you climb the 195m to the top of the hill. At the top is a nice walk along Greenham common where you can take in some great 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside. Then back into the forest and down the hill back to the canal. Not too difficult and a very nice 2hr walk.

Really pretty walk with a few mild inclines. Walked this with an 8 year old and he did fine (slept well that night). You could easily do this as a loop but we parked at Pangbourne Station and walked the trail to Goring station to get the train back (5 minutes). See some wildlife, wild flowers, plenty of river activity and some stunningly beautiful houses along the way. The village of Goring-On-Thames is so pretty. The Swan pub at Pangbourne train station let's dogs in, it is right on the river and has plenty of outdoor space during the nice weather

Such a lovely, easy walk. By the time I parked and walked to the lock and walked all the way to the Swan Pub & back we actually did 6.67 miles. I had my dog off lead for pretty much the whole time and the river is very calm and slow flowing so she jumped in and out with no bother. The trail is more or less completely flat the whole way, if it has been raining there can be a few muddy spots but walking boots will be absolutely fine. The lock and weirs are pretty, there are lots of swans, geese and ducks all around and across the bank you pass by a huge Alpaca farm. In Pangbourne there is a nice green for picnics with a pretty bridge or there are a few pubs that allow dogs. We ate at the Swan and the food was incredible (it has outside area as well over looking the river and Pangbourne weir.)
