There is now a new park in the north-east corner of this route. If you have time then it is worth exploring the park which contains ponds, wildflower meadows, an orchard and benches where you could enjoy a picnic. There are a couple of entrances to the park from the Temple Way to Forest Road section of the trail, and you can re-join the trail at the car park at the Wood Lane to Temple Way 2 waypoint.

A couple of updates on this walk. I will revise the walk when the development mentioned below is completed: - As you approach Piglittle Meadow, the path is diverted round the Amen Corner North building site. Follow the diversion and go through a gate by a Piglittle Meadow sign and then turn left to follow the wood-chip path through a copse. When the path leaves the copse it climbs to the oak tree mentioned in the instructions. I think this diversion improves the walk. - When you reach the roundabout under the A329M I recommend that you follow the alternative route up London Road as the slip-road verge is currently overgrown. - Shortly after the instructions mention passing between concrete posts. There is now a shiny new kissing gate at this point.

Very noisy and uninteresting. Would be okay after lots of rain because most of route is on solid surfaces

This is a walk of two different halves. The first half of the walk is through countryside, with the second half through urban Bracknell. There are a few areas where you walk beside busy roads and care is needed. Give the walk a try and leave your feedback.

I did this walk on 18/11/18. After crossing the A3095 Pendry's lane was temporarily closed to pedestrians and a had to take a diversion that meant missing the ford and Wesley Mill. Otherwise a very enjoyable and easy to navigate walk.

Great walk and lots of lovely spring wildlife. Frost Folly will be the entry point to a new country park (a SANG - suitable alternative natural greenspace), and the new ponds are already attracting swallows, and dragonflies (chasers). There is also a nice café (Robyn's nest) in the garden centre near the start / finish. Where the route crosses a main road by the Shepherd's House pub, the garden centre is 100m to the right (west).

Enjoyed this walk (again) today. Autumn trees looked great in the sunshine. Our dog loves it although she is mainly on the lead for the walk.

It's worth taking some time to look around both the buildings and the grounds of South Hill Park. It's really is a gem with formal gardens, a lake with a fountain, art galleries (free) and a bar/cafe.

This a great walk. The directions are excellent as well.

A really lovely walk down some well made lanes. Look out for bluebells in Spring and take in the beauty of English hedgerows. The Shepherds House pub is near the end so you can stop for some food and drink - there is a garden too if you have a dog with you.

Hi Dulcie. No, nothing missing from the directions. I think the right turn you mean is the last sentence of the first paragraph? Maybe Finley was too busy hunting deer rather than reading the instructions properly?! I hope Finley had a lovely walk.
