I would highly recommend this trail, so many smaller routes available within this area. Cows , butterflies , bees , birds , swans , caterpillars , ducks , horses to accompany you.

This trail was brilliant, it has a few challenges here and there, the views are beautiful. There are lots of stops and places to enjoy the scenes and bays. The paths are really clear and easy to follow. The app worked wonderfully and made the experience easier. Total time taken to walk was 2hrs 30mins, worked out 13km.

Really pleasant walk, though a portion is on the pebble beach which is not easy on the feet/calves!!

an astoundingly beautiful walk. stunning views for the whole trek. my 2 year old walked the majority of this with only being carried up the last hill toward the carpark. it is a national trust car park which isn't mentioned in the description. The biggest downfall is the amount of dog feaces mainly along the walk to and from and to the car park and not the coastal walk itself.

One of our favorites!

Starting from the causeway (the road at the top end), we walked along the raised mud wall alongside of the river. Beautiful. Windswept. Sun kissed. Wild. Very few other people. As we got to West Mersea there’s some cute houses and oyster/seafood places. Keep walking and you get to the busy part, the beach, shingle/sand. Not the prettiest.. with beach huts. We turned around there and walked back the way we came.

Again another beautiful walk in this area, It took us 4 hours to do 16km (to nice to rush) This walk was quite easy with only a few uphills, The views were amazing over the sea and fields, the colourful flowers of spring were lovely to see too. We went anti-clockwise as suggested by a previous comment but to be honest I can’t see why as both ways will be just as nice with the same views.

lovely walk with kids, picturesque area-you can clearly see needles -isle of Wight

Great walk which has a bit of everything cross country, beach, scrambling, heath and forest. Lovely views and would recommend for family’s.

Highly enjoyable easy walk, I’d go again or event run here.

Only walked part of it as other part locked-down. Nice and fresh, beautiful land and sea view

very good route

A five star walk. Fields, woods and beach all inclusive. Been to lepe beach so many times, always stick to the tourist side but never ventured to the other side- feels much nicer. Thank you to the author!

A lovely walk very easy to follow.. would definitely do it again..

A great walk! Beautiful coastal path! Dog can be off lead on most of the route, only need to be on the lead if you enter an area with livestock in it. Nice views. Some sitting area to enjoy the view. Not many people during the week. Relaxing walk. We extended the route with an extra 45-60 min walk. Easy to get back to the car with the app!

lovely walk some great views along the way

A lovely walk with varied terrain, very scenic. We did the walk with our only just 3 year old and he walked the entire way! Highly recommended for a quiet peaceful walk.

The trail is quite accurate and helped us navigate the forks

this is our 2nd All trails walk. Had a great day out, followed the whole route with a little detour near the light house for photo. took my 6yr old and 11yr old and both did great

Lovely walk through the cute town of Mersea, the fields in the surrounding countryside and the lovely beach.

National Trust area. Lovely walk with beaten tracks and steps on steeper sections, though dogs on leads and young kids very close by at all times for obvious reasons. Though we didn’t stop there are loads of decent picnic spots but no shade anywhere, so hats and sunscreen advisable.

Note that during Covid19 restrictions some walking paths are defined as “one way” so you might need to alter the route a bit
