Maritime city walk in Hamburg harbour This wonderful tour of Hamburg harbour takes you past some of the Hanseatic city's most important sights. From the Reeperbahn, the route takes you through the St. Pauli Elbtunnel ("Old Elbtunnel") at the Landungsbrücken and through the harbour area on the south bank of the Norderelbe. Cross a bridge to reach the modern HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg's newest landmark. A stark contrast awaits shortly afterwards as you cross the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district. The world's largest historic warehouse complex is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Depending on your interests, a wide variety of museums, exhibitions, restaurants and cafés along the route invite you to embark on individual cultural and culinary discovery tours. The walk, which is easily accessible by bus and train, takes around 4 hours. There are countless places to stop for refreshments.
