If you walk along the edge of the Ohmberg, you should do so with caution. The rocky edge of the Ohmberg steps to the north is very steep and not secured. At the highest point, you have a beautiful view of the Kalihalde and the Brocken. If you're lucky, you might be able to see the rare Turk's cap lily on this tour from June to August - just to look at, sniff and photograph. The Kaliberg has been dormant since 1990 and is now criss-crossed by water fountains, which is why it is often referred to as the "Ayers Rock of Bischofferode".
