Nature-based circular route in the Wilden Moor, Schleswig-Holstein.
The hike gives an idea of how important these large, undisturbed retreats are for our flora and fauna. Almost free of trees, the core of the raised bog spreads out before the visitor - the views far into the horizon are impressive! With a little luck, otters and swans can be spotted here, and even snakes such as grass snakes feel at home here and may cross the path. Later the trail follows the course of the Treene - here it is possible to stop off at the Treenehaus. Through a small village and under a rich tree population (beeches), the starting point is reached.
Start at the car park at the Fährhaus - there are possiblilities to stop here for refreshments.
