This is the fifth stage of the varied and beginner-friendly Nord-Ostsee-Wanderweg hiking trail, which runs for around 112 kilometres from Meldorf to Kiel right across Schleswig-Holstein.
The starting point of the fifth stage of the certified quality trail is Westensee and the section ends in Kiel. In addition to the lakes and idyllic landscapes of the Westensee Nature Park, several cultural monuments worth seeing ensure a varied hiking experience.
