Historically interesting circular route in Schleswig-Holstein.
The route starts at the edge of the Fröruper Berge nature reserve and leads, via the forest church right at the beginning, through its beautiful forest and moorland landscape. On beautiful forest paths and along the small Treene river, the route then runs to the edge of Frörup and then north-east of the old gravel works in a large arc to Schmidts Wiese. Here you will find the small forest lake with its frequently encountered dragonflies, which gave the trail its name. Those interested in history will be interested in the role of the area in the German-Danish War of 1864, as a result of which Schleswig and Holstein were ceded by Denmark. However, Danish culture has left its mark and still characterises the area today. There are refreshment stops in Frörup and Oeversee.
