The Zwenkauer See is the largest body of water in the Leipzig Neuseenland, a flooded post-mining landscape just outside of Leipzig that is now used for local recreation. This beautiful tour around the Zwenkauer See and the smaller Cospudener See can be completed wonderfully by bike. The route can be started from the Ostuferweg. At the starting point there are parking spaces, public toilets and places to stop for refreshments. From there it is mostly along the shore of both lakes with opportunities for swimming.
