From Pausa, this hike leads over the Ritzmar along the railway and past the wind turbines to the headwaters of the Weida. Not far away, separated by the Wolfshain-Neuhäuser road and a small wood, is the headwaters of the Triebes. The two streams take their own paths up to the Valentinsmühle mill near Schüptitz, from where they continue together as the Weida to Wünschendorf and into the Elster. From the heights near Neuhäuser, you have a sweeping view of the Kuhberg and the heights of the Vogtland. Via Arnsgrün, Schönbrunn and Bernsgrün, the trail leads into the Kulm forest area.
