Lake Kulkwitz is located between Leipzig and Markranstädt. The lake was opened as a local recreation area back in the 1970s following extensive renaturalisation measures. The varied nature can be enjoyed along the entire shore path. The forest on the Hochkippe in the south is particularly inviting for walks.
