Aller-Radweg Etappe 2: Oebisfelde-Weferlingen - Gifhorn

This route follows the second stage of the Aller Cycle Route and connects Gifhorn with Oebisfelde in Germany. From its starting point in Gifhorn, the town of mills, the cycle route passes the International Mill Museum and Lake Tankum, crossing the Elbe Side Canal. The route runs through the Ilkerbruch Nature Reserve to Wolfsburg, home to the Autostadt and the Phaeno, before ending at the Sumpfburg in Oebisfelde. Wild camping is strictly prohibited along the route; overnight stays are in guesthouses, hotels or at campsites in the local towns. Standard cycling kit is sufficient. Drinking water can easily be topped up in the towns and villages. The start and finish can be easily reached by Deutsche Bahn trains (https://www.bahn.de). The Aller Cycle Route is a 328 km (204 miles) long long-distance cycle route along the River Aller from Eggenstedt to Verden, which is usually covered in 5 to 6 stages.
