Schmelz - Löstertal

Interesting cycle tour from Schmelz to the Löstertal in Saarland. This beautiful route is ideal for a day trip. Start near the Pizza-Eck and from there cycle along the river Prims, past the campsite and around the Schatterbach area. Passing Auschet and Überlosheim, you reach the Bardenbacher Fels/Primsaue nature reserve. The nature is very varied: forest, meadows, fields and forest again, which provides the hiker or cyclist with the necessary cooling for the exertion required. The route continues to Nunkirchen, where you turn round and start the equally interesting return journey. The last section of the route leads along the Primstal cycle path and part of the former Primstal railway, past the Schartermühle mill and the Schatterberg/Primsaue Schartenmühle nature reserve on the right and the Michelbach quarry on the left.
