Beautiful circular route through forest and vineyards to Eltz Castle in the Moselle valley
The circular route starts at Treis Karden railway station. Right at the start, the trail climbs steeply into the forest to Eltz Castle. Beautiful views can be expected. The route then descends into the valley and finally a second ascent to Müdenerberg awaits. Much of the route runs along the official "Buchsbaumweg" circular hiking trail. There are excellent refreshment stops along the route.
The castle can only be visited as a booked tour.
