Freiherr-vom-Stein Park in Nassau Loop

Relaxed walk in Nassau, Rhineland-Palatinate Start at Nassau railway station. Once you have crossed the main road heading west, the path leads directly along the beautiful Lahn river. Shortly before the lock house, turn right twice in succession and walk along the other side of the park. There are some interesting sights on the short loop: for example, a gift from the Bahamas in the form of a larger-than-life statue, which is a tourist highlight in this area and often becomes a photo motif for entire hiking groups. A particular highlight of the circular route is Stein Castle, which is worth a visit at any time of year. It was the seat of the imperial knight family vom Stein and has an impressive portal, partly surrounded by a wall of centuries-old fieldstones. If you wish, you can also visit Nassau Castle on the other side of the river. A fairytale tour of Nassau Castle is offered for children to teach them about its history in a fun way. After the many lasting impressions in the middle of Nassau Nature Park, the trail leads along the Roman road via Lahnstraße and later Leifheitstraße back to the starting point.
