RTF Giro Koblenz 153 Route

Official route of the RTF organised by Radtouristik-Freunde Koblenz e.V. The 153 route of the Giro Koblenz allows you to experience the diverse nature of northern Rhineland-Palatinate. The route leads through the deep valleys and over the wooded mountain ranges of the Hunsrück and Westerwald, regions known for their dense beech and oak forests. Overcoming the steep climbs requires stamina, but rewards you with views of deeply carved river valleys and historic castle ruins. In the near-natural forest areas, there is the chance to observe native wild animals such as the red deer or the shy wildcat. The warm, sun-drenched slopes offer special biotopes; the Spanish flag (a moth) can be found here and protected dry grasslands grow. A helmet should be a matter of course on this long route, as well as equipment for changing weather conditions at higher altitudes.
