This premium hiking trail is a real insider tip. It starts at Olsbrücken railway station and ends at Sulzbachtal railway station (or vice versa, this route can easily be walked in both directions). Once you reach the end point, take the train to turn the route into a circular walk.
On the trail, which owes its name to the old Roman quarry "Teufelstein", you walk through picturesque valleys, quarries and forests, past many geological highlights. There are also marvellous views of the Palatinate Forest. You should definitely bring sturdy shoes, as there are some steep ascents and descents. Fans of 1. FC Kaiserslautern will be delighted with the waymarking: the red devil's logo shows hikers the way.
There are refreshment stops and the route is accessible by bus and train.
