This is a relaxed circular walk south of Daun. From the starting point near the Dorint holiday complex, you hike into the Dauner Maare nature reserve (dogs must be kept on a lead here and the paths must not be left). Via the Mäuseberg, you walk once around the Gemünden maar, the north-easternmost of the three Daun maars. In summer, it's worth packing your swimming gear and taking a refreshing break in the natural outdoor pool at Gemündener Maar.
