2nd stage of the chapel pilgrimage route, North Rhine-Westphalia.
This stage leads from Klingenmünster via Karlsplatz past the Peace Chapel in Birkenhördt, past the Cramerhaus at Lindelbrunn to Vorderweidenthal.
On this stage, the route leaves the Rebenmeer and enters the Palatinate Forest - a perfect place for forest bathing. The route climbs a good way up to the 487 metre high Abtskopf. The hut at Karlsplatz is a nice place for a short break. Between Abtskopf and the Lindelbrunn castle ruins, a detour to the "Friedenskapelle" chapel above Birkenhördt is recommended. The Waldgasthaus Cramerhaus, which also offers overnight accommodation, is a good place to stop for refreshments. An ascent to the Lindelbrunn castle ruins offers a special kind of panoramic view before the stage finish.
