This circular trail starts at the car park of the beautiful Helmbachweiher pond. This is a popular bathing lake with crystal-clear water. There is also a Kneipp facility there, which can be used at the end of the hike, which takes you gently but steadily uphill along idyllic forest paths to the Schänzelturm tower. Half of the route is completed and you are rewarded with a magnificent view. The return is a relaxed downhill walk through the Kohlbachtal valley past the Naturfreundehaus Lambrecht halfway along the route.
