Stage 5 of the long-distance hiking trail "Ausoniusweg", Rhineland-Palatinate.
The fifth stage of the Ausonius Trail, which follows in the footsteps of the Roman poet Ausonius from Bingen to Trier, is just under 20 kilometres long and leads through the Hunsrück.
The route begins in the small village of Gräfendhron and ends in Fell. Both towns have bus connections. Compared to the other sections, this stage takes you through many forests. We recommend a detour to the Schinderhanneshöhle cave, which is very close to the route.
There are several places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments at the end of the stage.
