Steinfurt- Wettringen

Start and finish is the railway station in Burgsteinfurt. Past the castle along the avenue to the Bagno and straight over the Buchenberg. From there it goes into the Emsdettener Venn and on to St. Arnold. The longest section of trail starts behind the railway station and ends in Neuenkirchen behind the sports field. Briefly past Offlumer and over one or two more beautiful trails towards Wettringen. In Wettringen, the route briefly follows the River Aa and then crosses the whole village along a stream. Head out towards Josefshaus and after a ditch (!) it can get a bit prickly in summer - about 200 metres (possibly across the field to the shooting range). Now you pass the Kieferngrundsee lake and then come to the cycle path of the old ST-Metelen railway line - from here it's an easy 2 km roll-out on asphalt. Can be ridden on MTBs and trekking bikes, normal bikes only after a long period of dry weather.
