RTF route of the RC Dorff 2009, 77 km lap. From Stolberg-Breinig to East Belgium. Undulating, hilly profile, constantly slightly uphill or downhill, no steep climbs, but not much to rest on either. A long descent after Henri-Chapelle, 3 km downhill, then approx. 5 km flat through the valley. This is the only longer flat section. Then the only noteworthy hill near Teuven, approx. 1.5 km long. The route runs along side roads with little traffic or farm tracks, paved in "Belgian quality", i.e. somewhat rough in places, but still easy to ride. In Raeren and Kornelimünster there are short stretches over cobblestones. In between, very beautiful views of the German-Belgian-Dutch border region. Very attractive scenery. Two long railway viaducts near Teuven and Moresnet are striking. The RTF is very well organised and is also worth a longer journey.
