Märkisches Land

This route climbs 2,240 metres in altitude on an 86 km ride, so the condition must be very good. With the exception of Letmathe and near Lüdenscheid, the roads are very quiet. On almost every ascent the gradient exceeds 10% and often 15%. Some more specific information on certain sections of the road: The road from Lauenscheider Mühle to Heedfeld is partly a private road, but part of a cycle path network that is accessible to cyclists. At the top of Heedfeld you have to cross the L561 into Rosenweg (there is a sign indicating that this road is a dead end, but this does not apply to cyclists: after 100 metres the road is closed to car traffic via some posts). Some roads have less good road surfaces. In the descending direction (following the path anti-clockwise), this applies to the road between Ober-Hunscheid and Fuelbecker Talsperre and between Pillingsen and Untergrüne. In the direction of ascent, this applies to the road to Rummenohl after Mühlhagen and for the lower part of the ascent to Grossendrescheid.
