This route was dedicated to Franz Krawutschke - he opened up the hiking trail network of the Eifel in almost 50 years of work. This idyllic hike starts in Obermaubach and leads along the reservoir in the direction of Bergstein to the "Krawutschke Tower". From up here you have a marvellous view of the region. This is followed by the descent to Zerkall. From here, you can take the Rurtal railway back to the starting point of the hike. Due to some unpaved paths and inclines, this route is not suitable for pushchairs.
