The Hermannsweg is one of Germany's most beautiful high-level trails, partly running along the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest.
The path leads through two nature parks: "Terra Vita" and "Eggegebirge and Southern Teutoburg Forest Nature Park." Its name derives from Hermann the Cherusker, who defeated the Roman general Varus and defeated three Roman legions in the year 9 AD.
The Hermannsweg is an absolute cult path, and this is where the tour begins. A beautiful mix of nature and culture with incredible cultural sights can be expected.
