Wonderful circular hike in the Eifel National Park, North Rhine-Westphalia
A perfect hike to relax on a sunny day. You walk across open fields and can enjoy great views of the Eifel. You also reach the historic Mariawald Monastery halfway along the trail, whose history dates back to around 1470. Here you can enjoy the famous pea soup for refreshment (you should check the seasonal opening times - see tips). The route then heads towards Wolfgarten in Kermeter and through the beautiful mixed forest back to the starting point (take care when crossing the main roads). The route is not signposted throughout.
