Challenging mountain bike tour in the Grafenberg Forest, North Rhine-Westphalia.
There is a dense network of easy and medium trails in Grafenberg and Aaper Forest, many of which are explored on this tour.
The start is at the car park on Mettmanner Straße, right next to the "Schwarzbachtal" bus stop. The route first heads south-west towards Aaper Wald. After the Rather Waldstadion, the route loops round to Ludenberg, through the centre of Grafenberg Forest. Along small streams that nestle in the landscape, the idyllic natural surroundings can be experienced despite the effort. Refreshments are available at Gut Knittkuhle and Kaisershaus, before the route continues towards Ratingen with magnificent views of the Ruhr region to the end point.
