The cross-country tour first leads along the Ruhr to Kettwig and then up the mountain on trails towards Hösel and over the Ruhr heights through the forest to Ratingen. From there it goes back down to the Ruhr. The route is easy to cycle, not too technically demanding, but a mountain bike is an advantage because the trails lead along forest paths. Total ascent 419 metres in altitude and 38 kilometres.
