From Sandebeck, the circular trail "Auf aussichtsreichen Höhen" leads through idyllic mixed forest interspersed with lively bubbling streams and springs up to the Eggekamm ridge. You reach the Eggeturm on the forest-free plateau of the Prussian Velmerstot via the rooty path, which drops steeply to either side in some places. During a well-earned break, you can enjoy sweeping views over the Teutoburg Forest and - on a clear day - as far as the Hermann monument.
The route can also be used as an access route from Sandebeck in order to then undertake a longer hike on the Eggeweg.
