It starts in the heart of the old town - at the church in the middle of the historic town centre with its gates and gabled houses. You walk along the castle ruins to Lake Kaster and then follow the Kasterer Mühlenerft. Where it flows into the Erft, turn right and walk back to the starting point. There are restaurants and cafés to stop off at in the village.
