MTB: Hamburger Nord-Ost Runde

A beautiful MTB tour to explore two forest areas behind Ahrensburg. The start is in Hamburg-Sasel. Firstly, you cycle along the Saseler Chaussee until you reach the start of the Saselbek Trail. From there, the tour continues towards Volksdorf. Behind the Volksdorf cemetery there is deep, soggy ground. The area around the Moorweg really lives up to its name. The route continues into the stunningly beautiful "Tunneltal" nature reserve, a real highlight, before taking a short detour into the Nordic Everglades. The route continues into the Rauhe Berge forest area, the playground of the local MTB scene. The hilly landscape is criss-crossed with trails, some of which are short, steep descents with ramps for small drops. More for the Fully faction. The next destination is the Beimoor forest area to the north-east of Großhansdorf before the route leads back to Hamburg.
