Stage 1 of the long-distance hiking trail "Schweriner See Rundtour", Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The Schweriner See Rundtour is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails in northern Germany. The first stage of the 60 km circular hike starts at Schwerin Castle (alternatively: Schwerin railway station) and ends in Lübstorf. You could spend hours in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state capital alone, there are so many buildings worth seeing here. But the hiking trail is calling and soon you will be travelling along the Ziegelsee and Lake Schwerin to the stage finish (overnight accommodation and refreshment stops). The route can be reached by bus and train.
