On its more than 600 km long, well-maintained, mostly asphalted route, from the Inselgebirge mountains to the Baltic Sea, the O- N RW offers a very varied landscape, passing places of historical interest which are among the most beautiful in Central Europe. It leads from the source of the Neisse in the Czech Republic along the German-Polish border to the Baltic Sea island of Usedom. The O- N RW is a pilot project of the D-network (standardised long-distance cycle route network throughout Germany).
