Weserbergland-Weg Stage 1: Hann. Münden - Reinhardshagen/Veckerhagen

This route follows stage 1 of the Weserbergland-Weg, connecting Hann. Münden with Veckerhagen on a forested first section. The hike starts at the Weserstein, leads up to the Tillyschanze, and dives deep into the Reinhardswald, one of Germany’s least populated areas. Through extensive wood-pastures, the destination of Veckerhagen is reached, known for its half-timbered houses and Habich's Castle; note the current diversion via the Pionierbrücke at the starting point. Overnight stays are available in Hann. Münden or Veckerhagen; wild camping is prohibited. Potable water should be filled beforehand as the route passes through secluded nature.
