This wonderful walking route follows the WaddenWandelen trail on the Wadden Sea island of Borkum.
Two sections of the Dutch regional walking trail, the WaddenWandelen, pass through the German Wadden Sea island of Borkum. The circular route starts at the historic railway station and is suitable as a one- or two-day walk. The route leads through Ostland to the eastern part of the island. Wet dune valleys offer rare natural habitats and a rich variety of birdlife.
There is a campsite near the village of Ostland. The route is signposted. The island can be reached by ferry from both Germany and the Netherlands.
